These are awesome metal tool cleaning and polishing blocks. I always have a few around the shop. Their uses are endless but I mainly use them like an eraser to clean off surface tarnish and light rust from my planes, chisels, and other metal tools.
They are made of a semi flexible rubber compound with silicon carbide abrasive grits impregnated throughout the entire block. I prefer the Medium grit (green) for most of my tool cleaning chores.

Each block measures 3-1/4" long x 2" wide x 3/4" thick.

You can "carve" the block into any shape to clean up a concave or convex surface

As you use it new grits are exposed - it never dulls!

United StatesSlick piece of kit.
Amazing piece of kit! If you live somewhere that is humid (Looking at you NC!) these are great for keeping the rust at bay. Sort of like a Magic Eraser, but for metal.

They do a great job removing rust from items without fear of removing to much of anything else. Cleaned up a bandsaw table that I was loathe to take block and paper to. The inherent give in the product gives you the confidence to lean into a section knowing everything is still going to be nice and flat and crisp edged when you are done. Course worked so well, I went through the other two grits. I didn’t feel the need to wax up the table when it was finished. (Still did it anyway… cause.)
United StatesExcellent Rust Remover (but you'll get a workout!)
I live in SW Ohio and my shop (garage) is not climate controlled so the humidity can be a problem. Some hand planes had light rust on them and the Sandflex Block (fine) took care of it. You think of the blocks as an eraser but, they are much more durable than that and require more effort than I expected. But, they do work well and I suspect they will last much longer that I anticipated. Great product.
